We’re starting a series of twelve classes for kids exploring contemporary art. These activities are educational, creative and social at the same time. Participants will gain knowledge about the history of art and modern art, will immerse themselves in the creative process: the birth of an idea, creating a sketch, making a work, features of materials and techniques. Children will practice interaction skills: learn to discuss and explain their own ideas, ethically discuss the ideas of others, practice mutual assistance, joint work, and inclusiveness.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
- children will learn how exhibitions are created (on the example of the main exhibition of the art center “Our Years, Our Words, Our Losses, Our Searches, Our We”);
- together with artists, they will explore and master various artistic techniques and forms of contemporary visual and media art;
- talk about the meanings laid down by the artists;
- will learn to transform their own ideas and feelings into sculptures, drawings, media art and other art forms.
