The “Harvesting Grapes” panel was created in 1979 by artists Hryhorii Kichula and Yaroslav Sheremeta for the façade of the “Ukrvyno” winery on Puhulianka Street in Lviv. The work is an example of 1970s monumental decorative art and consists of 624 glazed ceramic tiles with a total area of over 30 m².
Due to the deteriorating condition of the former factory building, the panel became at risk of destruction. At the time of assessment, the structure was partially ruined, and the panel itself had suffered significant damage and losses. Preserving the work without urgent restoration intervention became impossible.
Thanks to a joint initiative of the city, local business, and Jam Factory Art Center, the panel was carefully dismantled, restored, and relocated to the territory of the art center. The Karp Restorer workshop carried out the restoration. The new home of the panel is Jam Factory Art Center — a former industrial site that, like the “Ukrvyno” plant, is connected to Lviv’s history of production and is now gaining new cultural significance.
