Ukrainian drummer and composer Oleksandr Poliakov will present his third solo album, “Too Tired to Be Scared”. The album brings together contemporary progressive jazz, personal stories and the experience of living through the full-scale war.

Oleksandr Poliakov has worked with Filó Machado, Kevin Mahogany, Kurt Elling and other renowned musicians. His previous solo albums are “Absolution” and “Repulse”.

“Too Tired to Be Scared” reflects the period since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Its compositions encompass pain and anger, love and joy, introspection and contemplation. Every track is connected to a particular story from the composer’s life, and each title carries its own meaning.

The album was recorded at KOMORA studio in Ukraine. For the first time, Poliakov recorded an album with an entirely Ukrainian line-up.
