Welcome to the curatorial tour of the exhibition Beyond the Silence by Kateryna Radchenko.

During the tour, Kateryna will talk about how the project was developed, what influenced the curatorial idea, and why it is important to find common ground between countries as diverse as Ukraine, Nigeria, Mexico, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan.

The tour will also feature Ira Lupu (Ukraine) and Antoine d’Agata (France). They will talk about their own works presented at the Beyond the Silence exhibition.

Kateryna Radchenko is a Ukrainian curator, founder of the international contemporary photography festival Odesa Photo Days and curator of the international project Beyond the Silence.

Language of the tour: Ukrainian and English without translation.

The Beyond the Silence project turns to photography in an attempt to find a communication format that could tell true stories and show the connections and consequences of the actions of authorities and individuals in different parts of the world. The authors create a space for joint observation, reflection, and the search for answers to pressing questions.

Beyond the Silence is a joint project organized by Magnum Photos in partnership with Odesa Photo Days Festival (Ukraine), Centro de las Artes San Agustín (Mexico), Africa Artists’ Foundation (Nigeria), Vlast (Kazakhstan), and the Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops (Cambodia), with the support of Open Society Foundations and the Ukrainian Institute.
