Come to an event that will open new horizons in the world of electronic music!
TicketsOn November 24, we will screen an exclusive video recording of Oleksii Shmurak’s lecture on the electronic music of Oleksii Podat and enjoy a live concert.
Oleksii Podat defines his musical approach as “melodic noise” and employs radical sound processing methods combined with sensitivity to pop and academic tropes. This is the kind of music featured in his new album, “Gentle Relationships with the World at the Bottom of the Earth,” which explores the need for unconditional love intensified for many amid the war.
While exploring Oleksii Podat’s music, Oleksii Shmurak will unveil the connection between the physics of sound and the physiology of musical perception, explaining the elements that comprise Podat’s music and how it reflects vulnerability and corporeality.
Oleksii Podat is an avant-garde composer and producer from Sloviansk. His compositions can be heard in various audiovisual art projects and films.
Oleksii Shmurak is a composer, sound artist, and lecturer with a formal education in academic music, who has been giving accessible lectures on music perception, its technological and ideological history since 2015.
