Join us for “The Local as the New Global,” a workshop by Open Place — a space for collectively exploring how personal experience, local contexts, and community challenges can become the foundation for artistic expression. Through collaborative work, shared experiences, and dialogue, participants will explore the connections between the local and the global.
The workshop will be facilitated by Jam Factory Art Center mediators Ania Konovalova, Olia Shul, and Khrystyna Savitska.

Open Place is a platform founded by artists and curators Yurii Kruchak and Yuliia Kostrieva. The initiative’s mission is “to build connections between artistic practice and different sectors of society.” Their work is grounded in collaboration, co-creation, and the intersection of artistic, social, and political processes.
Across their numerous projects and workshops, the artists regularly engage communities in exploring the challenges they face and collectively searching for ways to address them.
