On June 19 at 7:00 PM, we invite you to an evening of contemporary jazz in the courtyard of Jam Factory Art Center.
Taking the stage will be one of Poland’s most acclaimed contemporary jazz trumpeters, Piotr Schmidt, together with the Igor Zakus Quartet. The musicians will present a program inspired by the work of legendary Polish composer Krzysztof Komeda, as well as compositions from the critically acclaimed albums Hearsay and Ether.
Piotr Schmidt is the author of 19 albums, an international award-winning artist, and one of the leading figures of the contemporary Polish jazz scene. Joining him is Igor Zakus — bassist, composer, founder of the Jazz Bez Festival, and a musician whose work has played a significant role in shaping modern Ukrainian jazz.
The audience can expect an evening of musical dialogue, improvisation, and vibrant live performances, complemented by the atmosphere of a summer evening in Lviv and a glass of wine. ✨
