Jazz Concert: Oleksandr Mashovets Quartet Presents Brutalism

On November 8 at 19:00, Oleksandr Mashovets Quartet will take the stage at Jam Factory Art Center with their programme Brutalism.

About the Programme

Brutalism combines the freedom of improvisation with emotional intensity, exploring themes of memory, the subconscious, and farewell.

The quartet’s sound brings together fusion, post-bop, alternative rock, and the ECM aesthetic. The musicians experiment with form, rhythm, and sound, leaving room for improvisation and interaction on stage.

Bandleader Oleksandr Mashovets is a Kyiv-based guitarist, session musician, and scholarship recipient of the Abakanowicz Arts and Culture Charitable Foundation.

Line-up

Oleksandr Mashovets — guitar;
Hlib Akimchenkov — saxophone;
