“This Order Goes Wrong” is an interdisciplinary performance by Lithuanian artist Lora Kmieliauskaitė that combines live music, video art, motion sensors, and documentary texts by people who have experienced anxiety and panic attacks.
At the core of the work is an experiment: how the body responds to anxiety, and how that response transforms sound, rhythm, and presence on stage. The performer’s movements, captured through sensors, become part of the musical composition and visual environment.
This is not a performance about anxiety in the conventional sense. It is an experience that invites the audience not simply to observe, but to go through it — through sound, light, text, and physical tension.
The project is based on real testimonies from people with experiences of anxiety disorders, as well as texts by Seneca and Cicero.
The performance was created by:
Lora Kmieliauskaitė — violin & performance
Dominykas Digimas — composer
Kristijonas Dirsė — video director
alongside a team of contemporary media art practitioners and researchers.
The performance is presented with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine.
