Special jazz music will be performed on November 10 at the Jam Factory Art Center stage!
TicketsThis time, the Natalia Lebedeva Trio will appear with a special guest – saxophonist Borys Mohylevskyi. Together, they will showcase progressive, modern, original jazz music created by the project’s leader. These are fresh compositions that embody a pursuit of unconventional forms, complex rhythms, technically sharp episodes, vibrant motifs, and contrasting emotions.
The trio members are well-known Ukrainian musicians, each with a repertoire of original music, festival experience, international collaborations, and their own discography:
Natalia Lebedeva – jazz pianist, composer, and arranger, who has taught at Kyiv’s R. Glier Municipal Academy of Music for over 15 years and is the creator of various jazz projects.
Borys Mohylevskyi – jazz saxophonist and composer, guest of the program. A prominent figure on Kyiv’s jazz scene, he participates in Ukrainian and international projects, such as BITLO, Dennis Adu Quintet, and Konstantin Ionenko Quartet, and leads his own experimental electronic music project. In 2023, Borys represented Ukraine at the San Jose Winter Jazz Festival in the U.S., together with Dennis Adu and Yakov Tsvetinskyi.
Konstantyn Ionenko – double bassist, bassist, composer, arranger, and an outstanding ensemble partner. His albums have been released in Japan and Spain, with his previous release, Noema, recognized as one of the top albums of the year by All About Jazz. In early 2022, Konstantyn recorded a new album with notable New York musicians, planned for release after victory.
Yaroslav Borys – a drummer known for his vibrant and dynamic performances, stylistically versatile, frequently collaborating with artists from both jazz and pop music genres. He has worked on international projects with musicians like Gregory Boyd, Ingrid Arthur, Zoe Gilby, Ivan Paduart, Patrick Delterne, and others.
The music on November 10 will be a dialogue between experienced voices and the interplay of personal concepts without boundaries or limitations!
