We invite you to an acoustic performance by Yurii Andrukhovych, Tomasz Sikora, and Mark Tokar – “Letters to Ukraine. Improverses.”
At this event, you will hear poetry by Yurii Andrukhovych, performed by the author himself, accompanied by new musical interpretations from Tomasz Sikora (Poland) and Mark Tokar. “Letters to Ukraine” is the most comprehensive collection of poetry by Yurii Andrukhovych.
Yurii Andrukhovych is a Ukrainian poet and translator, one of the key figures in postmodern Ukrainian literature, and a co-founder of the legendary literary group “Bu-Ba-Bu.”
Tomasz Sikora is a Polish musician, composer, and cultural and social activist who has been collaborating with Ukrainian artists and promoting Ukrainian culture in Poland for over twenty years.
Mark Tokar is a world-class Ukrainian double bassist and the first Ukrainian to perform at the prestigious Chicago Jazz Festival. In March 2022, he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
