Imagine some of Ukraine’s top jazz musicians — artists who have collaborated with stars of the local music scene — coming together to experiment and bring a fresh interpretation to their genres.
Let us introduce you to d’Electro — a modern improvisational jazz quartet led by trumpeter Dennis Adu, joined by drummer Artur Frolov and keyboardists Rodion Ivanov and Oleksandr Malyshev.
- Dennis Adu (trumpet) creates captivating melodies and uses sound effects alongside his trumpet to add a unique aura to the music.
- Oleksandr Malyshev (keys) is a true synthesizer expert who enriches the band’s sound with distinctive textures and deep bass lines.
- Rodion Ivanov (keys) is one of the most acclaimed keyboard players in Ukraine, known for impressing audiences both at home and abroad with his skill and artistry.
- Artur Frolov (drums) is a highly regarded drummer and winner of international jazz competitions.
Formed in August 2022, the quartet is focused on musical exploration and experimentation. Even for the musicians, each performance is unexpected — the music is always new. With two keyboards, electronic effects, and no bass guitar, their sound is far from conventional.
