On April 26 at 19:00, Jam Factory Art Center will host a vocal jazz evening by the Kateryna Avdysh Quartet.
AVDYSH is a project by Ukrainian singer and composer Kateryna Avdysh, where contemporary jazz is performed in Ukrainian, blending with soul and introducing European audiences to the beauty of Ukrainian music.
Last year, the artist released her debut album Always Alive, recorded in Portugal with leading musicians. One of the highlights was a collaboration with Salvador Sobral — their joint track One Way Ticket was recorded in Ukrainian. The album also received support from the National Union of Portuguese Composers.
Following her performance at Tallinn Music Week, where Kateryna represents Ukraine on the international stage, she will come to Lviv with a concert at Jam Factory. That evening will feature Always Alive — a deeply personal story about strength, vulnerability, and the ability to find light even in the most difficult moments.
Line-up:
Kateryna Avdysh — vocals
Yevhenii Dubovyk — keys
Serhii Kliuienko — bass guitar
Andrii Yuskevych — drums
