Musicians from Ukraine and Poland will come together on one stage, each bringing their own distinctive musical style and experience on the international jazz scene.

The program features original music by the quartet members: contemporary jazz, intricate rhythms, improvisation, and plenty of space for live musical dialogue.

Performing this evening:

🎸 Rafał Sarnecki (PL) — guitar. A Polish jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger who lived and worked in the United States for over a decade. He studied at The New School and Queens College in New York and has performed with Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, and Ron Blake. Three of his original albums were nominated for Fryderyk, one of Poland’s most prestigious music awards.

🥁 Oleksandr Selezniov (UA) — drums

Sarnecki / Zakus Quartet combines the language of contemporary jazz with the diverse musical experiences of the Polish and Ukrainian scenes. Original compositions become a starting point for improvisation and interaction between the four musicians live on stage.
