Jam Sessions are improvisational performances with minimal preparation: musicians agree only on a basic framework or an intro in advance, and the music then unfolds “here and now.”
We believe that jam sessions are a powerful tool for developing the local music scene. This is where musicians of different generations and levels of experience meet, where new ideas, collaborations, bands, and tracks are born. A spontaneous encounter on stage often becomes the starting point of a new musical story.
The next Jam Session is already on February 9!
We welcome musicians who feel confident on their instrument, understand the form of standards, and are familiar with the basic principles of ensemble playing.
The Stage Band is the core group of musicians leading the jam. They open the evening, set the mood, choose the basic repertoire, and help coordinate the participants on stage.
Stage Band on February 9:
Mykhailo Baloh — electronics
Petro Baloh — saxophone
Luka Hanuliak — drums
Andrii Konyk — bass
Participation in the Jam Session requires prior registration.
Please note: registration does not automatically guarantee a spot on stage.
The jam is moderated by the invited Stage Band. They shape the musical direction of the evening and decide whom to invite to improvise. Depending on how the jam unfolds, the Stage Band may invite specific musicians, instrumentalists, or vocalists — or decline participation if necessary to maintain the coherence of the sound and the overall atmosphere.
