In April 2026, the British guitarist and producer Tom Ford will make his Ukraine debut upon invitation of the Maltese Kyiv-based saxophonist Carlo Muscat.
Tom Ford has been a steady member of the UK jazz scene for the past ten years, having regularly performed at Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Cafe, and 91 Living Room, as well as being a regular sideman for Reuben James, Jas Kayser and Jay Phelps. He has also been welcomed into the US and European jazz scenes, respectively touring and recording with Chris ‘Daddy’ Dave’s Drumhedz, Keyon Harrold, and Pet Eldh’s Projekt Drums, amongst others. Outside of the jazz sphere, he also writes and produces for many people in the commercial world, having worked across the world in LA, NY, Europe and Brazil.
Carlo Muscat is recognised as one of the most promising voices on the European jazz scene, establishing himself as a saxophonist, composer, and bandleader, culminating in the release of seven albums under his name. His sixth album, Hymns, received critical acclaim, earning a four-star rating from Downbeat Magazine and a place on their Best Albums of 2023 list. This recognition marked a defining moment in his artistic development and his emergence as a distinct presence in contemporary jazz.
On Sunday 12th April, the two will be joined by a Ukrainian rhythm section consisting of Kostiantyn Ionenko on bass, and Danylo Korin on drums.
