Emil has an extraordinary musical background and a fascinating biography that has influenced his creative work.

He served in a military orchestra and a song and dance ensemble in Odesa, where he played the clarinet, tuba, French horn, timpani, guitar, and double bass. Later, he became the founder and member of several music projects and bands. He combined music with generative graphics in the project “Digital Himalayas,” experimented with acid-jazz in the band “Potreba Group,” and played with bands like “No Wasted,” “Openspace Garage,” “Indirect,” and “Rudnic Ore.”

His solo albums “Youdlar Yurdu,” “A Home No Longer Exists,” and “Crimean Strong Sea” are dedicated to his family, the exploration of the Azerbaijani genre mugham, childhood memories, and the indigenous peoples of Crimea.

You will definitely be interested to know that the musician created soundtracks for classic films like Dzyga Vertov’s “Man with a Movie Camera” and old Ukrainian animations presented at the Flatpack Festival in Birmingham.
