Disposable Collective 1/2026 Open Call

This program is designed for Lviv-based artists of various disciplines who are interested in long-term collaboration with peers in the format of a performative collective, Disposable Collective 1/2026, which will operate at Jam Factory Art Center in 2026.

January 23, 23:59 — application deadline

We invite five artists working in performance, dramaturgy, theatre, visual arts, music, and dance to join the creation of a performative collective that will work at Jam Factory Art Center from mid-March to November 2026 (with a break in July–August).

We aim to collaborate more closely with local professionals and to share the art center’s resources with those who are developing contemporary artistic approaches.

We therefore offer space and time to create in synergy with peers, to experiment, search for points of connection, and develop them into performative forms. Members of the collective will jointly develop the idea of a performance/production, test formats and themes, host their own public events, and, at the end of the program, realize a premiere work that will become part of the art center’s repertoire.

Within the program, we will provide:

  • monthly remuneration during the 6 months of the active phase of the program;

  • working conditions at the art center (space, technical support, management, and public communications);

  • coverage of production costs for the collective performance/production and interim public events (within the available budget);

  • workshops and consultations with invited specialists, selected according to the collective’s interests;

  • free access to the art center’s events;

  • curatorial support.

We expect from the collective:

  • regular engagement of participants in joint artistic work (the schedule will be flexible and agreed upon, taking into account the needs of the collective and the art center);

  • the organization of four public events during the program (event formats proposed by the collective);

  • the creation of a performance/production (with a premiere in November 2026) that will become part of the art center’s repertoire;

  • close collaboration with the art center team;

  • openness of each participant to co-creation with others.

Who can apply:

  • artists of various disciplines who practice consistently and have at least 2 years of professional experience, or who have recently obtained a relevant arts education;

  • individuals who are permanent residents of Lviv;

  • artists who seek collective work, are looking for like-minded collaborators, and are interested in performative/theatrical practices;
