The performance is inspired by photos taken during the war. While the war remains out of frame, what is captured within becomes a palimpsest of images. In dialogue with visual imagery, this musical performance layers reflection into a sonic polylogue between acoustic instruments, electronics, and recordings.
The concert is a charity event: all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the unit of Bohdan Kokotailo.
Bohdan Kokotailo is a pianist, sound engineer, and long-time audio engineer at the Experimental Educational Studio of Electroacoustic Music (EESEM) at the Lviv National Music Academy named after M.V. Lysenko. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has served in the 47th Separate Artillery Brigade.
