Creative Live Workshop “Less Is More: Music with Limited Resources”

Decemeber 27 | 14:00
Jam Factory Art Center (Auditorium)

A creative live workshop focused on making music through conscious limitations.

Over 2 hours, we will create a track from scratch in real time — with no presets, templates, or the option to “finish it later.”

Limitations as a method

  • one software synth (e.g. Diva)

  • Splice samples as the only source for drums and textures

  • a minimal number of tracks

  • a strict time frame — 2 hours

  • no going back

Format

  • a 2-hour live session

  • a public decision-making process

  • live commentary throughout the work — what I’m doing and why

  • focus on thinking and decision logic, not on buttons

Who it’s for

  • musicians and producers who get stuck in endless choices

  • those with many tools but few finished tracks

  • anyone who wants to develop taste rather than expand their setup

What you’ll get

  1.  a live example of creating a track in 2 hours
  2. a clear process from idea to final result
  3. practical principles for working with limitations
