The film is set in eighteenth-century French Brittany. A young artist receives an order for a wedding portrait of a girl. She spends her days carefully studying her model and her nights painting her portrait. Gradually, the characters become closer and closer.
The film won the Best Screenplay Award, the Queer Palm for LGBT Film at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
The film will be screened in the original language (French) with Ukrainian subtitles. After the screening, we will have a discussion with the moderator of the screening, Daria Badior.
