On April 20, R&B will take over Jam Factory Art Center!
A traditional jazz jam often leans toward complex harmonies and extended solo expressions. This time, we’re moving in a different direction. The foundation of the evening is warm dynamics, emotional depth, and constant interaction between musicians.
We draw inspiration from D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, and Thundercat — where the rhythm section breathes, the vocals engage in dialogue with the instruments, and every detail serves the feeling.
How will the jam work?
The night will be led by our house band — a rhythm section setting a warm, pulsating foundation. The jam will unfold around soul harmonies and live grooves, open to vocal improvisation, instrumental lines, or simply responding to the moment.
On stage:

— Oleh Sukhanov — bass
— Taras Maichyk — drums
This is a living, continuous musical organism, where it’s not about filling every space, but about feeling when to leave it open.
What to expect as a musician?
— A focus on dynamics, listening, and playing “between the notes.”
— Space for vocalists, keyboardists, horn players, and anyone who feels soul and R&B.
— A shared environment where everyone can express themselves.
What to expect as a listener?
— A warm, intimate atmosphere.
— Deep grooves, live bass, and unexpected vocal moments.
— An evening to pause, let go, and simply be inside the sound.
Participation in the Jam Session requires prior registration.
